Millennials and previous generations will never forget where they were when they learned about the planes slamming into the Twin Towers.

9/11 is this generation’s Pearl Harbor.

Although Tuesday marked the 17th anniversary of the attacks on America, one viral video is making the rounds that should bring a smile to all faces.

Check out this bald eagle, a symbol of freedom in the United States (as well as the national bird and national animal), landing atop a firefighters’ 9/11 display.

The video has already received three million views in less than 24 hours.

From Daily Wire:

In a video that has amassed nearly 3 million views in less than 24 hours, Fire Chief Jerry Streich of Andover, Minnesota shows the “unbelievable” moment when a bald eagle landed on his fire station’s tribute to memorialize 9/11.

“Look what landed on top of the aerial on 9/11,” Streich says in the video. “Isn’t that unbelievable? This eagle just landed on the aerial while we were doing the 9/11 memorial. Phenomenal.”

More from KARE 11:

The fire truck, which was parked on the Highway 10 bridge, was holding an American flag to honor and remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. While the Andover Fire Department — along with several surrounding departments — held their tribute, an eagle perched at the top of the aerial truck, creating a chill-inducing moment.

Streich said this is the 17th year for the city’s annual tribute and certainly seems to be one, no one will ever forget.

“There’s no better symbol to represent America today than a flag but then for an eagle to land on a fire truck holding a flag, I mean, it doesn’t get much more symbolic than that,” he said.

Streich said he couldn’t believe his own eyes when the eagle stopped for what he described as less than a minute.

How awesome is that?

As if that weren’t enough, check out what then-private citizen Donald Trump did the day after the attacks in New York city.

He went to Ground Zero and asked how he could help.

The death toll caused by diseases from toxic debris from 9/11 will soon surpass the number of deaths from the day itself.

From USA Today:

Seventeen years out from the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, nearly 10,000 first responders and others who were in the World Trade Center area have been diagnosed with cancer. More than 2,000 deaths have been attributed to 9/11 illnesses.

It will get worse. By the end of 2018, many expect that more people will have died from their toxic exposure from 9/11 than were killed on that terrible Tuesday.

While 9/11 will forever be remembered as a day in which nearly 3,000 people were killed, it’s always nice to see good things happen to take our minds off the tragedy.

RIP to all those who perished on that fateful day.
