To begin with, anything published in a Journal titled Social Problems has be suspect of being liberally biased. Such journals look at all the issues we face in society and then try to lay blame on everything and everyone except for the real cause.

I suspect this is true with one of their recent posts where two authors wrote that poor white men are the ones most likely to cling to the guns and that they are the most likely to say that turning to violence against the US government is sometimes justified.

One of the authors went so far as to say that gun control is an attack on the masculinity of these poor white males.

(Sacramento Bee) – They’ve got guns, and they’re the most likely segment of the population to say that violence against the United States government is sometimes justified, according to a study conducted by a pair of Baylor University sociologists.

They’re economically disadvantaged white men.

Researchers Carson Mencken and Paul Froese published their study “Gun Culture in Action,” in November’s edition of the journal “Social Problems,” in which they sought to establish a “gun empowerment” scale to analyze the meaning of gun ownership for the 1,572 survey respondents.

“White, male gun owners who have lost, or fear losing, their economic footing tend to feel morally and emotionally attached to their guns,” a Baylor news release reads.

Obviously, the authors never considered the thousands of black activists, members of Antifa and the many other progressive groups that speak about the overthrow if the US government. They also overlook that rampant black-on-black gun violence that it happening every day in many of America’s inner cities. And what about the gun violence being carried on a regular basis by gang members, most of which aren’t white and don’t want to give up their guns.
