Why is it that so many athletes or celebrities believe that they can do whatever they want just because of who or what they are? What is even more baffling is why after so many of them get arrested and charged with crimes over stupid things that kill their high-paid careers, others do the same dumb things and then wonder what happened when the get caught.

Such is the case with Daryl Worley who just signed with the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team as a cornerback. Then he gets arrested for driving while under the influence and carrying an unlicensed gun in public, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and more. No wonder the Eagles quickly cut Worley from the team, ending his high-paid football career, hopefully for good.

(Penn Live) – Former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley is facing six criminal charges after police arrested him Sunday morning in South Philly, including those for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and carrying a firearm in public, according to court records.

The Eagles cut Worley on Sunday after confirming his arrest.

Police found Worley asleep in his car at the 1300 block of Pattison Street and an altercation ensued, according to Officers used a taser on Worley, who grew up in North Philadelphia, the site reported.

The Philadelphia Police Department responded to PennLive’s request for information to confirm Worley’s arrest and charge but did not provide more details…

Worley’s stupidity cost him about $670,000 contract to play football. Now, he’ll be lucky to find a job pushing a broom or mopping floors in some warehouse or hotel. Hopefully he learned his lesson and others will also learn from it, but in today’s dumbed-down and self-centered America, we’ll mostly likely see others like him make similar dumb mistakes that will end their career and cost them dearly.
