Rural King Supply is now open in Hartland, offering everything from farm goods to firearms to furniture.

Located in the former Walmart at 10400 Highland Road just east of U.S. 23, the store gives customers more than 100,000 square feet of shopping options including an expansive selection of lawn and garden merchandise, several aisles and numerous brands of power tools, clothing and just about everything the outdoor recreationalist could hope for: kayaks and canoes, fishing and camping gear and hunting supplies.

“I think we’re a perfect fit for this area,” said the store’s manager, Mike Butler, who joined the company in October with a background in retail management at Home Depot, Best Buy and Big Lots stores. “I like our customers; I’ve worked in a lot of different retail environments, and the customers we attract here are some of the nicest people I’ve had the opportunity to work with.”
