Earlier this week, the buffoon behind the annoying Borat character and cultural meme, Sacha Baron Cohen, released his new project Who Is America?

The television program airs on Showtime, or, as we call it in America, “Not HBO”.

Cohen, who has appeared in a number of ostensibly silly and raunchy films, has attempted to recreate the lightning in a bottle that he captured with Borat, dressing up as a number of strange characters and attempting to fool guests into playing along and embarrassing themselves.  The first segment released by Showtime took aim at the Second Amendment, and included one of the most ridiculous skits that we’ve ever seen:

Now, one of the subjects of the above video is spilling the beans on how Cohen and his producers were able to achieve such stunning footage.

Viewers of the recently premiered Showtime series will recognize Virginia Citizens Defense League president Philip Van Cleave as the “gun rights hero” in the show’s “Kinderguardians” training video.

In the disturbing segment, Cleave can be seen alongside an in-character Cohen, teaching toddlers how to use “Puppy Pistols” and “Gunny Rabbits” to make “bad guys go to sleep.”

Cleave then insinuates that disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was one of the “EXTREMELY WELL FUNDED PROFESSIONALS” responsible for the film, and claims the production team provided luxe incentives for his involvement.

“[Reeling] me in and to try to make me feel beholden to them, they laid out the red carpet, by providing luxury accommodations, limousine service, and providing a generous monetary allowance to cover meals and other expenses for two days.”

It continues as well…

Cleave said he was initially approached via email to do an interview with an “Israeli security expert” by a company called “First Freedom Television.” But five minutes into the interview, he says, “my radar turned on big time when the interviewer was making claims about Israeli schools training selected children to use firearms from age 17 down to age 4 (!)”

When he “balked” at this apparent young training age, Cleave says the interviewer (Cohen as Morad) showed him a newscast about how a four-year-old Israeli boy killed two terrorists with a gun he’d brought to school.

This will come as no surprise to those who have witnessed the spectacle of Cohen’s antics in the video, realizing that no one in their right mind could have believed everything that this phony setup entailed.
