After a year of plummeting gun sales, firearm manufacturers were beginning to breathe a sigh of relief when March – April and May saw soaring requests for background checks, a measure of the number of gun sales.

That sigh of relief may have been short-lived as the number of background checks for the month of June leveled off. Sales have not taken another drop, but the leveling off of numbers is causing some firearm manufacturers wonder if the Parkland Syndrome (my name for the emotional and irrational gun control movement being pushed by immature and brainwashed Parkland students).

While not a perfect correlation, background checks are considered a yardstick of overall sales, and June’s 1.9 million hits on the FBI’s national instant check system, while up slightly compared to 2017, were far from the monthly records set in March, April and May, after the Valentine’s Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.

Adjusted numbers from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a leading trade group, show a 12 percent decline last month compared to June 2017.

Historically, gun sales increase after high-profile mass shootings as the public moves to act before an expected push for new gun controls…

One thing is certain, Democrats will continue to push until they completely kill the firearm business, eliminate the Second Amendment rights to own and bear a firearm and confiscate every gun from private ownership. In the process, they don’t care how many Americans are hurt or killed in the process of their achieving their goal.
