While the left continues to mow down gun owners with their democratically charged diatribes on the Second Amendment, something peculiar is occurring within shooting sports:  They are staying very,  very popular.

And, not only are these activities gaining ground among your typical gun enthusiast demographic, but more and more women and young adults are finding themselves enamored by the traditions of the Second Amendment as well.  Women in particular have taken to shooting sports in droves, creating a demand for female-specific innovations within the firearms industry.

Just how wild has the support of women been for gun manufacturers and retailers?  Apparently enormous.

The number of women getting involved in shooting sports is increasing every year. This continues to be a very positive development for shooting in America.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you’ve likely heard women are responsible for a lot of growth in the shooting sports. A recent study found that the growth in some shooting disciplines is nearly 200 percent.

Thank you, ladies!

One organization, Shoot Like a Girl, heralds the study as an indicator that women and guns go together pretty fabulously. Shoot Like a Girl focuses on training women across the country, by giving them the opportunity to shoot a pistol, rifle or bow in a fun environment.

“It is a known fact that women have been the fastest-growing demographic for several years now, and we continue to grow,” said president and founder Karen Butler. “There is a chance that our data is a course correction for the industry, too, based on the responses received after our query of a sizable number of women. We have the unique opportunity with our social media and email lists to reach over 146,000 women who participate and/or are interested in shooting sports, and they were enthusiastic to provide their input.”

This comes amid a massive time of turmoil for the Second Amendment, with the liberal left turning to hardline radicalization and violent attempts to attack both the First Amendment and the right to bear arms.

Seeing this sort of growth is to be expected, of course, if one truly understands the scope of the conservative awakening that is taking place in homes all across America.  No longer are we pushing the idea of “progression for the sake of progression”.  Instead, the great people of this nation are understanding more than ever that the Founding Fathers were wise beyond their years, and “shall not be infringed” really does mean just that.
