There’s no more beating around the bush these days:  The left is looking for a conflict, having spent the last two years treating American conservatives as second class citizens.

The nonsense began during the early days of the Donald Trump campaign, when the left insidiously insinuated that the phrase “Make America Great Again” was some sort of racist epithet or xenophobic war cry.  They backed their political adversaries into a corner and pinned a faulty and phony burden of proof on the incoming President:  “Prove that you’re worth of the democrats’ support”.

Sorry, folks, that’s not how this works.

Donald Trump was able to easily capture the Presidency from the all-but-inevitable third term for Obama cleverly disguised as Hillary Clinton by simply speaking to the people that Hillary was unwilling to.  (Rural Wisconsinites being just one of the many demographics that were beneath Hillary’s presences, apparently).

Now, 18 months into his first term, the left has mutated their rage again, and are now openly calling for a Civil War.

As with other initiatives of the leap-before-you-look liberals, there may have been something they overlooked in this whole “war” thing they’re shooting for:  We The People have more guns than the military.

In fact, we bought more guns than the military owns in just the last two months.

A report published this month found civilians in the United States own almost 400 million guns, outpacing every other civilian population, police, or military force in the world.

The Small Arms Survey estimates there are 393,300,000 civilian-owned firearms in the United States. The survey, performed by the Graduate Institute of Geneva, estimated the United States military has about 4.5 million firearms. It put the number of firearms owned by police throughout the United States at just over 1 million.

That means American civilians own nearly 100 times as many firearms as the U.S. military and nearly 400 times as many as law enforcement.

Federal Bureau of Investigation background check records suggest that civilians bought more than 2 million guns in May alone, which means civilians purchase more than double the number of firearms owned by police departments. The number of gun-related civilian background checks in May and April, at over 4.7 million, is greater than the number of firearms currently owned by the American military.

When we talk about the Second Amendment as an insurance policy against tyranny, these are the sort of statistics that the left seems to just gloss over.

The Second Amendment will literally never be repealed in America.  The only way these guns are going away is if the nation itself goes with them.

So, is Civil War instigatopr Maxine Waters’ bark as big as her bite?  Maybe.

But does her bite compare to that of the U.S. military?  Because, even then, she’d have very little recourse against We The People who are, by the way, still her boss….all thanks to the 2nd Amendment.

Remember, comfortably cushy congressmen and women, the Second Amendment isn’t only our right to bear arms, but also the tool by which we may hit the reset button on your entire swamp-dwelling club.
