The NRA annual convention is taking place this week in Dallas and it’s not just gun rights advocates who are planning on attending. It seems a number of gun control advocates are planning on showing up and they have an agenda all their own, which includes trying to question the NRA for their apparent association Alexander Torshin, a Russian politician with ties to the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin.

Gun control supporters have purchased a billboard on the way from the airport to the convention center that questions the NRA’s association with Torchin.

(NPR) – As attendees of the National Rifle Association’s annual convention ride on the interstate this week from the Dallas airport to their convention hall, they might look out the window to see a billboard questioning why the group has “cozied up” with Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin.

It’s a literal sign about how questions regarding the NRA’s associations with Kremlin-linked Russian politician Alexander Torshin have risen from a whisper to a dull roar over the past two years.

Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control group that opposes the NRA, has made it a point to press the matter. The group told NPR that it will be blanketing the homepage of the Dallas Morning News with ads on the links between NRA and Russia starting on Thursday, to coincide with the start of the convention. It will continue on Friday, when President Trump and Vice President Pence are slated to appear…

Maybe it’s time for gun rights advocates to start showing up at every gun control rally and protest and challenge them on their false statistics, hatred for the Second Amendment and why they want to take away Americans’ right to defend themselves and their families. Call them out on their erroneous rhetoric. Show which locations have highest gun violence rates and the lowest and which demographic group of Americans are the MOST law-abiding (concealed carry permit holders).
