If you’re a bleeding heart liberal that wants to go out and round up all of our guns, or even just the “scary” ones, you may want to think again.

I implore you to think about what you are truly saying.  You’re trying to tell me that you know better than the Founding Fathers did on the subject of tyranny, (not possible), and that you are willing to dissolve our American nation in order to protect us all from mass shootings.

Mass shootings, by the way, are less dangerous to the average American than almost any other calamity that could befall you.

“Public mass shootings are in the process of reshaping character of American public life,” said Dr. Garen Wintemute, an emergency room physician and director of the Violence Prevention Research Program based at University of California Davis. “It’s changing the way we behave as a society.”

“Public shootings are the one form of firearm violence where no one can create a story line that they can leave themselves out of,” said Wintemute.

Still, he cautioned, “We grossly, grossly overestimate our risk of being the victim of firearm violence.”

School shootings represent a small number of deadly mass shootings, and despite growing fears, they are not more common than they used to be, according to research by James Alan Fox, professor of criminology, law and public policy at Northeastern University.

Still, the left reacts to these incidents violently themselves, looking to disarm a populace that cannot possibly be disarmed without military intervention and the bloodshed that comes with it.

That’s what has residents of Cook County, Illinois so concerned.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois will start to enforce the Cook County “assault weapons” ban within the borders of the Village of Northbrook.

In May the Northbrook Board passed sweeping gun control ordinances. These ordinances included the banning of the sale and possession of bump stocks and enforcing the Cook County “assault weapons” ban. The so-called assault weapons ban would ban the sale and possession of semi-automatic rifles that can use magazines that hold more than ten rounds.

In the same meeting, the board passed an ordinance that prohibited patrons from carrying a gun concealed into any establishment with a liquor license whether the patron was consuming alcohol or not. This ordinance will make it almost impossible of for residents to go out to eat and carry a gun at the same time.

The local laws conflict with state laws, but according to Northbrook Village Attorney, Steve Elrod, home rule would make the new ordinances applicable and enforceable. Elrod made a case for the legality of the ordinance at the May meeting.

Once the statute is sorted out, police will begin enforcement of the “assault” weapons ban, actively confiscating and destroying any “scary looking” semi automatic rifles that they can get their hands on.

If the left thought that their “resistance” was something to behold, try walking into a supposedly sovereign American’s home and taking his guns away.  See what sort of “resistance” you are met with then.
