As the battle over Robert Mueller’s wild Ruskie chase continues in Washington D.C., disturbing new revelations regarding two agents dismissed from the case have come to light.

The investigation, which began as a serious inquiry into the possibility that the Russian government attempted to co-opt the Donald Trump presidential campaign, has turned into a farcical fishing expedition with Mueller’s agents digging through a number of bizarre piles of long-dormant refuse…such as the 12-year old claims regarding Donald Trump’s alleged affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

It’s all likely a part of Mueller’s anticipated plan to tell the American people, “there’s no collusion, but….”, hoping to have completely delegitimized Donald Trump the American, and not Donald Trump the President.

It’s a dirty, filthy trick, but there may be no other way for the left to fight fire with fire.

Just months ago, the the Mueller team took an ugly hit to their credibility when an affair within the team took center stage, as agents Strzok and Page were found to not only be secret lovers, but lovers with a secret:  They absolutely hated Donald Trump.

Strzok, a former deputy to the assistant director for counterintelligence at the FBI, was removed from the Mueller probe over the summer after the texts between him and Page during the 2016 presidential campaign came to light. In one exchange, Strzok referred to then-candidate Trump as “an idiot.” In another, Page described Trump as “a loathsome human.”

Now it seems as though, even though these two have been removed from the case due to their overwhelming and childish bias, they have not lost their Top Secret security clearance.

Two romantically involved FBI officials who were removed from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team over a series of anti-Trump text messages still have Top Secret security clearances, Sen. Rand Paul revealed Wednesday.

Paul tweeted a letter he had sent the FBI in January asking whether Strzok and Page still had security clearances and whether they are able to “search FISA data or other classified databases”.

In late March, the FBI responded to the Kentucky Republican.

“All FBI employees must maintain a Top Secret security clearance,” wrote Gregory Brower, then assistant director of the FBI Office of Congressional Affairs. “Because of security concerns and law enforcement sensitivities, the FBI does not reveal the specific accesses granted to particular employees.”

When we talk about the “Deep State” that exists within the American government, this is precisely the sort of worrisome wrinkle that we can’t take our eyes off of.

Now, as Mueller ratchets up the heat on the Trump White House, his investigatory integrity continues to crumble.  The only question remaining is:  Who will beat who to the finish line of their prospective lanes?
