Seattle is the bastion of liberal politics in the Pacific Northwest. The city has been controlled by Democrats for the past 65-years and it shows. Like many Democrat controlled areas, Seattle’s leaders decided to penalize law-abiding citizens for exercising their Second Amendment rights by passing a tax on the purchase of all firearms and on every round of ammunition. However, the tax has backfired on them.

Like many larger cities in the United States, Seattle is run and controlled by liberal Democrats. The last Republican Seattle Mayor was William Devin who served from 1942 to 1952. Since that time, the last 65-years, Seattle has had a liberal Democrat as mayor. Additionally, most of the city council members have been Democrats for years, also.

Seattle is known for being a liberal city, entrenched in the liberal, progressive and socialist policies and agenda of the Democratic Party. For the past few decades, Seattle has been home to many liberal protests and demonstrations against many conservative politicians, summits and events.

A sign of Seattle’s liberalism is seen in their defiance of federal law by being a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants. In March of this year, Seattle filed a lawsuit against President Trump and his administration due to Trump’s order to cut funding to all sanctuary cities…

The gun and ammunition tax has not generated the tax dollars expected, violent crimes have been steadily increasing and the city is losing on sales and income tax for people going outside the city for their purchases and jobs. Instead of the win-win propaganda used to sell the gun and ammunition tax, it turned out to be a lose-lose-lose tax.
